In 1987, the first Football in the Community Programmes were established in the Football League.  The Brentford FC Football In The Community Programme was amongst those pioneering programmes.

Twenty years on and the Club, who won the the 2006 Football League Community Club of the Year award, is now employing over 20 full time staff and over 50 part time coaches and are reaching in excess of 50,000 children in four of London’s Boroughs.

Now over a year into the formation of the Community Sports Trust, the Team are delivering coaching for a wider range of sports, so it’s not just about football, it’s about Community participation and providing opportunities to local children, regardless of their background.

In the coming year, we are looking to develop an holistic approach to sport, and particularly our specialist programmes.

When you navigate around this website,
I hope that you, like me, will feel excited by the partnerships and programmes that are alive in our community.

It has been an exciting first year as Chairman of the Community Sports Trust and the year ahead is one where we will continue to build on the wonderful foundations of the first twenty years of community involvement and to bring more sports to more children in more locations.
