Brentford Community Sports Trust Launches New Employability Partnership with Indeed

 In News

The Indeed Skills Lab is aimed at young people across west London to support them with advice, information and the skills to secure future work with local employers.

Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has teamed up with Indeed to launch the Skills Lab.

Focused on creating more opportunities to help guide young people as they seek future employment, the partnership aims to change the picture of youth unemployment in the local area.

The Trust currently works with over 2,000 young people aged 16 – 25 every year across west London, helping them to realise their potential. The partnership with Indeed will be influential in supporting these people and providing them with the tools to achieve employment in the future.

The Indeed Skills Lab launches with a networking event on 25 April at the Trust’s Community Stadium Hub. As part of the Skills Lab we are calling on local employers to sign up and become part of a network of employers committed to offering opportunities to job seekers in west London.

Join us on 25 April to find out more about the partnership, including guest speakers, panel discussions with industry experts and networking opportunities for local employers.

The networking event precedes an Employment Fair which will be held at the Gtech Community Stadium in the summer. The aim of the job fair is to provide young people with the opportunity to build relationships with local employers to secure future employment.

Hannah Barnett, Head of Social, Education and Health Hub at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, said, “We are delighted to be working with Indeed to provide real opportunities for local young people and cannot wait to see what the project achieves. We know that with the right support, training, information and access to opportunities, young people will thrive when they step into the working world! We are looking forward to bringing together local employers to respond to this need and to support young people in our community.”
