Celebrating our Community Sports Trust
At today’s game between Brentford and Newcastle, we are delighted to be celebrating the work of the Community Sports Trust which spans more than three decades. The Trust has established itself as a pioneering organisation for the local community, using the power of sport to educate, motivate and inspire people from all backgrounds.
Working closely with Brentford FC, we deliver a range of programmes in education, employability, sports participation, health and community engagement.
From participants, to local schools and fundraisers, during the course of today’s game supporters will hear different stories covering the breadth of our impact.

One of our fundraisers, Ben Brownscombe, will be at the Gtech Stadium this afternoon. Ben has been a lifelong Bees supporter and in a few weeks will run the London Marathon on behalf of the Trust. London will be Ben’s first-ever marathon and we wish him the best of luck!

We are also thrilled to welcome Demi Gardner. As part of the Premier League supports campaign running across the weekend, Demi will be presented as One of Our Own. The Trust began working with Demi through the Premier League Primary Stars Programme in September 2022. Since the Trust has been working with Demi there have been noticeable positive changes in her attitude to others both in team sports and the classroom. She is now a positive and encouraging teammate and a keen participant in class.
Demi is a shining example of how the Trust use football and sport as the hook, but they are not always the sole outcome. It is about much more than that. We are committed to helping every individual to ‘realise their potential through inspiration, innovation and inclusion.’
