Brentford FC Community Sports Trust (BFCCST) has announced the appointment of Jonathon Swaine as its new Non-Executive Director for the trading company BFCCST Trading Limited, linked to the new Clubhouse Café in Gunnersbury Park.

A lifelong Brentford fan, Jonathon has more than 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and has held senior leadership positions at Fuller Smith &Turner PLC, Rank Group PLC, and Shepherd Neame Ltd.

Jonathon most recently became the new CEO of Randalls in October 2025, which owns 44 managed and tenanted pubs across Jersey.

Knowledge and Expertise

Leading up to the opening of the Clubhouse Café in September, Jonathon’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in the hospitality sector was invaluable as the Trust laid the foundations for its new social space.

Speaking about his new role, Jonathon said, “It’s a privilege to be asked to work with the dedicated and passionate team - led by our Clubhouse Social Café Manager, Bethan Kavanagh - at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust to bring this new venue to life.”

Social and Community Space

Part of the new Community Sports Hub at Gunnersbury Park, the Clubhouse Café also doubles as a social and community space linking into community projects for all ages. Projects delivered at the site include mental and physical health programmes, with the space acting as a central meeting and training hub.

The Trust has also partnered with the homeless charity Change Please to establish the Clubhouse Café as a west London training hub. Our founder partners in the project are The University of West London (UWL) and the Premier League and Professional Footballers Association Fund. We are linking with the University to offer a range of immersive opportunities for their catering and business students and the Clubhouse Café is central to this.

Industry Experience

Lee Doyle, Chief Executive and Founder of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, commented, “The Clubhouse at Gunnersbury Park captures the essence of Trust culture, vision and ambition. We have worked to join a range of key strategic partners to create a multi-faceted space that will produce significant social outcomes across all ages in our community.

“Jonathon has played a key part, contributing his significant industry experience. It is a pleasure working with him; his energy and enthusiasm helped to deliver a brilliant result. We are proud to announce Jonathon as part of the team and look forward to tackling further challenges with him.”
