The first edition of the MOTORS Cup recently took place during the February half-term to bring together over 60 Trust participants to compete in a free football tournament.
Staged at Beavers Sports Lodge, where the Trust delivers free weekly football sessions funded by the Premier League Kicks programme, the event provided a fantastic opportunity for young people in the area to engage in a sponsored football tournament, fostering community and participation.
Brentford FC partner MOTORS played a pivotal role in supporting the event. Every child who played in the tournament was given a MOTORS water bottle and drawstring bag, as well as the customary trophies for winning teams and medals for the players.
Despite mixed weather during the tournament, all the players were exuberant and enthusiastic throughout, highlighting the importance of community engagement and creating opportunities for all young people to take part in sports.
