Harriet, Fran, and Jon are taking on the 2026 London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust.
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is proud to be the official SHE MOVES Partner for the 2026 London Landmarks Half Marathon.
SHE MOVES is a movement that champions and supports women to be active, feel confident and access opportunities through sport and physical activity. By supporting Brentford FC Community Sports Trust through this event, you will be helping to strengthen and expand our programmes that focus on inclusion for women and girls across our local communities.
Funds raised through the London Landmarks Half Marathon will support the delivery of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust programmes that remove barriers to participation, improve physical and mental wellbeing and create welcoming environments where women and girls feel supported to take part in activity. These programmes are designed to reach individuals of all ages and backgrounds, helping to build confidence, social connection and long term engagement in sport and movement.
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is proud to spotlight three incredible individuals, Harriet, Fran, and Jon, who are taking on a remarkable challenge to support the Trust’s mission. Each of their journeys reflects the transformative power of sport, community impact, and the importance of inclusion.
Harriet: Strength Through Resilience
Harriet’s story is a powerful reminder of resilience and determination. Having faced personal health struggles, running has become more than a physical activity. It is a lifeline for both her body and mind.
“Running a half marathon feels deeply empowering to me as a woman. There is something powerful about pushing my body through endurance, proving to myself what I am capable of. Each mile is a reminder of strength, resilience, and recovery.”
Harriet also sees her running as a way to inspire other women, promoting inclusivity in sport and showing that determination and self-belief can take you further than imagined.
“Running for the Brentford Community Sports Trust makes this challenge even more meaningful. My family and I are deeply connected to the West London community, and we have seen first-hand the life-changing impact of the Trust’s projects, from supporting young people’s confidence and inclusion to improving health and wellbeing across the community.”

Fran: From Personal Challenge to Community Impact
Fran’s running journey began in January 2020 with the London Landmarks Half Marathon, which was ultimately cancelled due to the pandemic. Undeterred, she ran it solo, discovering a passion for running that has only grown since.
“The empty streets of London made for a very surreal experience. Safe to say I caught the running bug, and have since completed many more running events.”
This year, Fran is running again to raise funds for Brentford FC CST. Through her work at One Water, the Trust’s sponsor, she has seen how vital these programs are in creating inclusive opportunities for women and girls.
“Funds raised will support programmes that remove barriers to participation, improve physical and mental wellbeing, and create welcoming environments where women and girls feel supported to take part in activity. For women and girls to show up in sports, they need to feel represented and included, thereby strengthening communities and empowering women.”

Jon: Championing Accessibility and Inclusion
Jon’s motivation comes from personal experience. His son Jude, who is non-verbal and has severe autism, benefits immensely from the Trust’s sensory room, which provides a safe and comfortable environment to enjoy matchdays at the Gtech Stadium.
“In simple terms, we would not be able to take Jude if this facility was not available. It offers him a space that is not too loud where he can comfortably be himself, jump, play, run around and watch the game how he wants to.”
Jon is now taking part in fundraising to support the Trust, reflecting the tangible difference its programs make for families and children with additional needs.
“It is just one of the reasons why in my biased opinion this is the greatest football club in the country. Up the bees. 🐝”
