In April Keane Lewis-Potter, Fabio Carvalho and Marley Tavaziva starred in the Trust’s Match of the Day Community Feature which highlighted our new Post 16 Football Education Academy, which launches in September 2025.

The players spoke to the cameras at Jersey Road as they reflected on their own football journeys and the importance of education and employment opportunities underpinning the Post 16 programme delivered by the Trust.

Providing Options

Speaking on the feature, Marley said, “I think the programme is very important because for a lot of young players getting released from academies mental health is a big thing and it can spiral down to places that you never know where it can go.

“Having that back-up plan helps a lot, you have more of a sturdy mindset, and it gives you options.”

Post 16 Football Education Academy

Launching in September 2025, the two-year course provides released academy players and high potential grassroots players with a full-time offer that combines academic learning, elite level training, coach education and employment pathways.

The programme will be delivered at the Trust's Community Stadium Hub education centre, our training facility at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub and the Brentford FC Training Ground for fixtures.
