South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) is a celebration, reflection, and sharing of the rich experiences of people with heritage from South Asia, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives. It's a time to reflect on identity, culture, family, and the many ways in which South Asian communities have enriched and shaped life in the UK.
Celebrate SAHM With The Trust
This year at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, we'd like to celebrate at a level that's true and respectful by putting your voices at the heart of it. We're inviting you to fill in a questionnaire in preparation for our SAHM event on the 6th of August, and tell us something meaningful to you: A memory, a tradition or story of your lineage, a journey made, and the impact this had in your local community in London. Something your grandparents used to say to you. Your favourite food. Or just what South Asian culture means to you. There’s no right or wrong. We’re looking for genuine stories from real people in our community. Don’t worry about writing the perfect answer or being formal. Just be yourself.
Connecting the South Asian Community in west London
Whether you’re a fan, a neighbour, a student, a parent, or someone who simply wants to connect with your roots, we’d love to hear from you. By consenting, your anecdotes can be promoted in our events, exhibitions, or on social media as part of our South Asian Heritage Month campaign. Every single one of them helps build a richer, fuller picture of who we are together, in Brentford.
