We are delighted to announce our continued partnership with Street Soccer Academy, and the referral process for a new cohort has begun!
The Street Soccer Foundation exists to help others through the power of football.
The Street Soccer Academy is a free 12 Week, 12-session personal development program providing a combination of football coaching, mindset training and skills & employability workshops. Open to 17–30-year-olds who are either unemployed, not in full-time education, living in sheltered or temporary accommodation, or those who just want to positively change their future prospects.
The delivery of the Street Soccer Academy aims to achieve the following outcomes:
Improved Physical Health & Wellbeing
Coaching of a positive mindset to support and improve mental health
Improve employability prospects
Soft Skills development such as Teamwork, Goal setting, Organisation, Planning & Communication
Improved Confidence, Self-Belief, Aspirations and Emotional Intelligence
The specially crafted ‘hat-trick’ of football coaching, growth mindset training, and soft skills development workshops enable participants to fundamentally improve their mindset, identify employability areas of both capability and interest, and develop skills to equip them to be able to move into work, education, or further training on completion.
The course takes place at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub and cumulates in the 6-side Street Soccer Academy National Cup football tournament with recent events taking place at Leicester City’s Training Ground and West Ham United's Stadium.
