The Middlesex FA Youth PAN Disability League, proudly supported by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust was named League of the Year at the Middlesex FA Awards last month.
The awards, which were held at the Gtech Community Stadium, were a celebration of grassroots and community football across Middlesex during the 2024/25 season.
Providing Opportunity For Younger Players
Supported by the Premier League and the Professional Footballers' Association, the Youth PAN Disability League is delivered in partnership by Middlesex FA and the Trust.
Whilst Middlesex FA had successfully delivered an adult PAN Disability League, there was a clear gap in provision for younger players. Recognising this need, the Youth League was launched in 2023/2024 season, hosting monthly fixtures held at Uxbridge High School Dome.
The league welcomes Community Club Organisations (CCOs) and inclusive teams from across West London and beyond to take part, ensuring that children and young people with disabilities have equal access to structured, competitive football in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
The 2024/25 season brought together 5 clubs and 11 teams competing across the U12, U16, and U20 age groups, with exciting prospects for continued growth in seasons ahead. The league welcomes players of all abilities in a fun, welcoming environment.
Craig Peters, Disability Manager at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust said: “This award is a fantastic recognition of the commitment and passion that goes into creating the Youth PAN Disability League - a space where young players of all abilities can belong, compete, and thrive on and off the pitch. We’re proud to continue our strong partnership with Middlesex FA as we work together to create even more inclusive opportunities and clear pathways for young players to develop, progress, and stay connected to the game they enjoy at every stage of their journey”
