Join our education football trials in August
We are looking for talented young footballers to join our education football trials at Northolt High School on Friday 30 August. To book your place, click here.
Working with Brentford FC, successful applicants will join our bespoke football programme while studying for a BTEC Level 3 sports diploma at West Thames College or an A-Level course with Chiswick High School or William Perk Church of England High School.
Along with a host of experienced coaches, former Brentford Player, Ryan Peters, will coach students and enhance their football skills.
What does the course involve?
- Students will compete in highly contested mid-week matches against other academy teams in the Football Conference Youth Alliance League (NYFL) and Association of College Leagues. This league has been recognised as the best national competition for Under 19s. –
- Insights from Brentford FC’s football development team. The course arranges visits to Brentford’s training ground and Griffin Park stadium; Brentford coaches provide valuable guidance on the professional set up at the club.
- National Citizen Service, which includes a four-day adrenaline fuelled residential trip with fellow students.
What impact does the BTEC programme have?
Over the last four years, we have seen ten boys sign professional contracts with teams such as Leeds, Bournemouth, Stevenage and Brentford. Other students – after completing the BTEC – have successfully progressed into employment while signing semi-professional terms with clubs such as Maidenhead, CB Hounslow and Hendon. Interestingly, some students have embarked on 100% scholarships at American colleges.
