The Trust Wins ‘Partner of the Year’ at A2Dominion’s Award Ceremony
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust was recognised as ‘Partner of the Year’ at A2Dominion’s annual awards ceremony this week. The housing provider, which has 37,000 homes across London and southern England, highlighted the community achievements of the Trust and the important partnership between the two organisations.
The hugely successful awards honour inspirational residents, local volunteers and organisations that have gone the extra mile to support their local communities and improve services.
With partnership work spanning nearly 20 years, the Trust has worked collaboratively with A2Dominion to deliver sports coaching sessions and mentoring initiatives at neighbourhoods across Ealing and Spelthorne.
Most recently, the Trust teamed up with A2Dominion to deliver Be Inspired – a project funded by BBC Children in Need. Through the power of sport, the project aims to improve young people’s wellbeing and aspirations while reducing any negative behaviour through multi-sports sessions in Ealing, Southall and Stanwell.
Commenting on the Trust’s award, Community Investment Manager at A2Dominion, Katie de Joux, said:
“For over 16 years, Lee, Luke, Graham, and their dedicated team, have delivered sports and educational initiatives in A2Dominion neighbourhoods. More than 8,000 local people have participated in their projects, which also provide volunteering and work placement opportunities.
“The Trust really does strive to improve the lives of young people and increase community cohesion – we are proud of our partnership with them.”
Luke Skelhorn, Operations Director at the Trust, said:
“Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has been working with A2Dominion on a variety of projects within their neighbourhoods for many years. Although both organisations are from very different industries, we have been able to establish a synergy that provides a creative portfolio of projects around sports, education, employment and volunteering pathways for many young people.
“We’re proud of the partnership and will continue to work closely with A2Dominion to explore and develop new and innovative projects for the benefit of local residents and communities.”
